MEDIA PROJECT

In the date February 3-6 the classmates Soany, Alejandra, Krizia, Jose, Lilian, Nelsy and Noely went to a trip with the college CEE to Roatan. And the classmates Danilo, David Meza, Cristian, Stephanie, Tamara, David, Selvyn, Eddy, Antonio, Nicole and Katlin stay in the college CEE doing a the periodic table, teaching to little kids and working in a presentation. We have to do all that work because if we go to the trip we will receive points but if you don’t go you will have to do many things. The students that go the trip went in a bus and then they go in a boat.
The expectations of some students don’t come true, because some expectations were: “that days come very slowly” Soany said but. “The day’s pass very fast” Alejandra said. Some expectations of the classmates that don’t go to trip doesn’t come true because we think that we will finish the work on Friday at 12:00 am but we have to work on Saturday and in that day we go to our houses at 5:30 pm.
The least thing that happens in the trip was that the food doesn’t taste good Alejandra said. The least thing that happens to the classmates that stay in school was that we come to school on Saturday and work in the periodic table.
And the classmates that go to the trip said that was the best trip of all. The trip was full of friendship that they do all the things that they want. The canopee was the best thing Alejandra said. And the best thing that happens in the school was when we finish the periodic table and go to our homes some students said.

That days were really funnies for some people but for other weren`t. But they make a good job with the periodic table and complete the expectation of the teacher to won all the points. What we learn was that the next time we will go to the trip to have fun.

ON FEBRUARY 3RD

On febrary 3rd- 6th the students Kathlyn Stephanie and Selvyn came to work in their science Project, at the school because they didn`t go the trip in Roatan.
In that week our class of nine grade get split in to two groups, the ones that goes to Roatan and the ones that stay in Sigua. On Wednesday Krizia Jose and myself Noely go to Roatan and we had some incredible days in the beach and with most of our friends, also we learn about the beautiful things that Honduras had. The other part of our class stays here in Siguatepeque working in a lot of projects.
When they came to school they had a lot of work to do. One of the most important things were to make a big periodic table, by painting a big wood. Also they had to give tutoring for two hours to the kids. Another project they had to make is a presentation of different topics and work on that in class time. They had to present all the project on Monday when we came back from our trip.
Our interviewees told us they expect that stay in school was going to be more easier and fun. But they realize that it was hard and bored. From these experience they learn that is better next time go to the trip, then stay in here and not work as a team.
In conclusion is better to enjoy the trip then stay at school working and doing boring things. When we work in teams we need to learn how to work together and don’t let other people do all the work.

WAS FEBRUARY AN EXCITING MONTH

WAS FEBRUARY AN EXCITING MONTH!!!
What do we do during February 3-6? During this week some of my classmates were working at school while others were having fun at our trip to Roatan.
My classmates staying at school during the week were Cristian, Katlin, Nicolle, Danilo, David, Stephanie, Tamara, Eddy, Antonio, and Selvyn. They are assigned to do a big project and other small projects. The big project was to make a periodic table with the hundred and eighteen elements, profa. Marisol said them the rules which were no paper on the periodic table just paint and that need to be presented on Monday class in a big piece of playwood. The other small projects I talk about were:
• An exposition of a theme assigned by her.
• A report about the theme they talk in the exposition.
• Giving lessons to kinder and prepa kids.
My classmates work hard the entire days of the week and they even come to school on Saturday to continue working in the projects. Before the week actually begin every one of us have different expectations we hear Selvyn and he said “I was frustrated with all the work before the week began” but others expectations such as Soany´s were different and these is what she says “I was so excited before the week begins because I think we would have lot of fun experience with my friend at Roatan”. During the week some of the expectations of the people we interview were true and others were false but everybody that goes to the trip have good expectations while the people remaining at school were so stressed.
The people that went to Roatan enjoy the trip but we interview Noely from the trip to Roatan and she said the most exciting thing she does at Roatan was going to a canopy adventure and going to the beautiful beaches. Everyone at the trip has fun; we visited such great places as: Carambola Botanic Garden, Museum, Eden Maya butterfly and Mayan adventure and other places. During our remaining at Bay Islands we do a lot of fun activities which include basketball games, swimming at the pool overnight and other activities that were very fun.
Like every human being not everybody was satisfied and glad about the week because Cristian said that something to work on with the people that stay at school was to stop Stephanie doing what she wants and to teach her how to learn to work with others to help her in the work and correct her errors.
Not everybody was satisfied at the week but it has already passed and we thanks God for all the blessings and protection he gave us during the trip and we also thanks God for giving strength and wisdom to the people remaining at school because we missed them in the trip but know we are all together again and that is because God wants it to be like that.

Roatan´s Trip

By: Katlin Aguirre and Stephanie Silva
During February 3th-6, ninth, tenth and eleventh grade went to a trip to Roatan, to visit one of the most beautiful place in our country. They wanted to learn more about it, Before they went to Roatan, some expected that the trip would be tiring and boring. Others expected they wouldn´t sleep and it would be fun. They did get tired, but from having so much fun and having a good time. As Krizia said, “I really had a good time and lots of fun!”
The girls really liked the Canopy and logically going shopping. The food wasn´t really good. Jose said, “The food was just a bit and it not tasted good”, but it don´t matter. From this they learned that Honduras has beautiful things.
During the trip the students played basketball against some guys that live there. They realized that they needed to practice more at school, because they lost.
This trip was an excellent experience in which students learned and have fun at the same time. Making this kind of things help them to enjoy being a student. It makes life so much easier knowing that is not always responsibility. It is making life as they want it.

Experiences during February 1st- 6th

The students of IBS usually get the opportunity to go on trips. They all enjoy it and are waiting for it! That´s what happened February 1st to 6th, unfortunately not all students had the opportunity to go because of different reasons. We had the chance to interview some of the students that stayed in the city of Siguatepeque.

All students had negative expectations since the moment the science Spanish teacher, Marisol Nolasco, told them the work they had to do. They had to do a Periodic Table of Elements in big sizes, teach the kinder kids, do a wooden rack for laboratory, and an expositive presentation about a specific topic. It was a lot of work, so it made every student create their own expectations of what was going to happen. Tamara Tobar, 9yh grade student, said “All my expectations are that it will be boring, having to work a lot, and staying after school to finish the work!” We could see all the nervousness and fear they had of the work. But just as Tamara, all the other students had similar expectations: “It will be boring, horrible, and to much work” said Nicole Leiva, 9th grade girl too. Unfortunately their expectations were right, and they confessed “the only good moment they had was Friday 5th, when they finished teaching the kids and got some candy. That day didn’t had chance to finished all the work so the decided to come the next day at 8:00 o’clock of the morning and after 9 hour of hard work they leaved to their houses with the work finished.

Well, as you see all students has a tuff week, but with a good reward 25 points and the opportunity to learn, teach, and have a great time with their other classmates.

Lilian and Nelsy Experiences at Roatan

Some weeks ago some of the students of the Siguatepeque Bilingual School went to an a exciting trip to Roatan some of the people that went there were Lilian and Nelsy. They were so xcited to go that they not even sleep, but they neither had time to it cuz they had to lived from the scholl at 2:30 am. but all that was for a good reason. They like the trip from the biginning through the end, from going in the ferry to having to wait for a bus in El Progreso. Lilian has told us that: " It as an exciting thing going overthere, but its not a good idea to go to see the "wrost" iguanas (she doesnt like them apparently) wearing a dress". Nelsy says that she likes almst everything: "kanopy, the glass bottom boat, turtles, and others, and that she like spending a great time with her friends". The bad thing was that while they were having fun overthere we the people taht didnt went to Roatan were working really hard to have the points that they will get by going there, But sometimes it as not so bad at all, we steal have a beat of un overhere. The thing is that no matter what we did it was all god and the time was well work.!!! have a great WeekEnd!!!

Tamy and Nicole!!

Alejandra and Soany in Roatán

Alejandra and Soany went on a school trip to Roatán on February 3rd - 6th, because the school organized it like they do every year; They got there by riding a bus and a boat.

Alejandra and Soany shared some information with us about this awsome trip they had. This two girls went on a trip to Roatan where they had a lot of fun; While they were having fun we were here in Siguatepeque working hard on the stuff we had to do. Soany said her expectations for those 4 days was that the days dont pass quicly and that they can have a lot of fun with her friends. But the bad thing was that one of their expectations didnt come true because the days pass very quickly, but she said she had a good time. Soany said that the beach and the canopy adventure was the most enjoyable thing she did; And Alejandra said that all the event were enjoyable for her. Alejandra said that the thing they enjoy the least was the ´´Bothanical Garden´´ visit; and Soany said it was coming back to siguatepeque. So from what we are looking until right now they had a very good time visiting a lot of places while we were in Siguatepe School dworking hard until late. But if this two girls will have the oportunity to change anyhing from that trip Soany said ´´the food, because it wasnt the way I expected to tastes´´. So this two girls had a lot of fun in this trip. So their trip have nothing to do with what we did in the school because we had to work a lot in the thigs that Prof Marisol asked us to do.

We can see that these two gril had a good time in the trip with their friends and other peolple.
